Colonial Secretary Columbo - In reply to letter of the 11th April last relative to the Construction of a line of E. T. from Galle and Columbo to the Contiment of India and thence to the nearest convenient points in the system of Indian Telegraph. Requests the inability of the Ceylon Government to clsoe with the proposal of this Government but expresses willingness to receive any proposal for extending the line from Galle when established Marraar or any otther converient point.
