To Secretary Bengal - In reply to letter dated 23rd Ultimo informs that the Consulting Engineer has been directed to institute an enquiry into the subject matter thereof, but calls for expliest information as to whether the lands etc. referred to have been # taken possession of and given over to the Railway Company under act 42 of 1850 or not Points out the made in which the Railway Commissioner should proceed to take prossession of # under Sec. 5 of the act & an explanation on this Subject is also requested.
