Classification of coach attendants on the Indian Railways- Reference from AIRF decision that I Class coach attendants should be classified as continuous under the hours of employment regulations and they should be given full credit for their journeys beside credit for booking over and reaching over in the manner indented para 18(i) of the subsidiary instructions. Further decided at the JCM meeting held on 3.11.69 that where I Class coach attendants led not been classified as continuous in the post, they would be entitled overtime and night duty allowance w.e.f. 6.5.69 the date of issue of bd's orders as if they were classified as continuous railways also asked to take necessary action in accordance with the above decision so that the staff concerned government overtime and night duty allowance admissible to their w.e.f. 6.5.69 railways also to post additional staff in consultation with FA and CA wherever considered necessary so that overtime is provided
