The appointment of Mr. Harkness to be Inspector in addition to his Office as Principal of the Elphinstone College the duties of the former appointment being incompatible with that of the latter and the increase to the salary of Major Coudy Principal of the Poonah College the inability to appoint that officer as an Inspector on account of his usefulness in his present office being no valid reason for granting him an increase of salary - With reference to the intimation that the Secretary to the Board of Education will Act as Secretary to the Director is of Opium for reasons stated that appointment should case as regard the enquring as to what account the salaries of the Director & of the Inspectors should be charged notices the substance of the Resolution aboves recorded which # this question.
