Petition from Teckser Peernyakin Pillay & other of the District of Trinavelly in Madras - Represent that it was a very ancient custom amoungst them not to allam any human died bodies to be carried away from the forst side of the shirna of Kanty Matty Davee their Goddess but lately the Civil Authority & the Missioneries of the District casued a Jammes dead body to be carried away from the Hospital the Hindoo inhabitants of the locality having obsturceted the passage a # cause on which several parties were wounded & killed and authorities have caused a fictitions that of the case to be drawn out & forwered to the Bord Presidency that an immediate orders be issued to the P. S. # #.
