With reference to a letter of the 13th Ultimo, relative to a Resolution no the Home Department that the Civil Salaries attched to the offices of Persian translator. Principal Mohomedan Colloege. & Exammer of Law Candidate to which Dr. Sprenger has been appointed, shall and affect that Officer's Mily. Pay & allowances after he shall have Assumed charge of the Offices in question, offers observations on the Subject and should Govt. still be placed to cause the above Resolution to be carried into effect, Solicits Authority to pass the amount of Dr. Sprengler's Regimental allowance to the debit of the Civil, & his net Pay only to that of the Mily Department.
