From - With reference to the Enquiry made by the Government of Fort S. George in June 1856 forwards an Extract Para 37 from Honble Court`s Despatch No 70 of 1857 dated 6 October consenting to allow gratuities which under the new rules may in future be granted at the discretion of Government in Cases for which the pension Rules do not provide to be caleulated onthe Salaries received by unconvented servants at the date of their descharge instead if an average of their Salaries for the last 5 years if their service.
