Read a Despatch from the honble Court of Diretcor No 159 of 1857 dated 30th dectmber stating that by a mesapprehension on the part of their Solicitor by whom the Covenants of the men enguged for service at Dehchourie were prepared, the date on whichtheir salaries commenced was fixed at the 25th October instead of at the date of their arrival at Calcutta, they authorise therefore, the payment of their Salaries from the 25th October from which date also Paymentof half their salaries will be made in England.
