From Secretary - With reference to para 49 of Courts Despatch dated 16th February 1858 forwards with observations for transmission to the Secretary of State, a Report from the Board of Revenue North West Provinces showing that the Villages referred in the Despatch were granted by the Mogul Eurpervis for the purpose of Keeping in repairs the Torule of Suleem Cheestee & the buildings at Futhepore Sikree within which it is situated maintaining the descendants of the Shicks & providings for certain religious observances at the Shrine which endowarents the Lieut. Governor is of opinion should not be withdrawn as the proceeds derived from them appear to be properly destributed.
