Acting Chief Secretary Fort St. George.- Transmitting copy of a letter from the Carnatic and Tanjore Commissioners submitting Mr. Tods application to proceed to sea or the Neilghery Hills on sick Certificate and reporting that Mr. Russell has made a similar application to the Supreme Government - and requesting that other two Gentlemen be appointed in the room of Messers Tod and Russell Salary. The Commissioners to be apprized that they are in all respects subordinate to that Government six months leave has been granted to Mr. Tod.
