Interpretations of Payment of Wages Act- Vis-a-Vis list of punishment in Rule 1702- R.I. interpretations of the Rules of the P.W.Act and also, pronouncements of High Court's in certain cases have resulted the list of punishment under rule 1702-RI Nugatory. A proposal has therefore been made to introduce an alternative system like Good Conduct Marks System appearing in Note 2 of Rule 1702-RL. Decision that the procedure of introducing Good Conduct Marks System, being too elaborate to adopt is considerred to be impracticable and therefore deleted from the Code. Necessary advance correction slip has been issued
