Sanction of advance of pay of Rs. 50/- each to all Supervisory, clerical and skilled staff and Rs. 30/- each to all unskilled, semi-skilled and other Class IV staff of the Eastern and South Eastern Railways during the Durga Pooja in 1955 as a special case. Sanction of advance of pay amounting to Rs.75/- or one month's pay whichever is less on the eve of important festivals to non-gazetted Railway servants including workshop staff in receipt of basic pay not exceeding Rs.300/- P.M. subject to the conditions that the advance will be given only on oe occasion in a year to the members of each community, that it would be recoverable in not more than four equal monthly installments and that the orders would remain in force till 31.12.57. Examination of the question of increasing the number of installments of recovery from four to eight not agreed to Decision that recovery of advance should commence with the pay bill of the month following the one in which the payment is actually made to the employees
