Ministry of Labour and Employment 19th Session of the Indian Labour Conference to be held at Bangalore on 9th and 10th October, 1961. The Ministry of Labour and Employment were informed that the conclusions regarding abolition of Contract system for regular work done in factories were generally satisfied by the Railways. As regards the conclusions for providing essential amenities by the principal employer to contractors employees that Ministry were informed that it would not be possible for the Railway to implement these conclusions. The same subject matter was discussed by the N.F.I.R. in the P.N.M. meeting held on 30.1.1963 and the position was explained
