Intimating in reply to their letter no. 1324 of 6th Instt. that as through the negligence of the clothing Authorities, the transmission of the Indent for cloth of a proper texture for Trowsers in lieu of leather breeches has been delayed till the present time, and as the Court of Directors are overse to receiveing separate Indents them proposal that the Oxford Mixture cloth shall be included in your anual indent is sanctioned, and with regard to the Overalls tendered for issue, but rejected, it has been determined that as no better cloth is at present procusalble, the troops must receive them, compensation for the defference of quality between them and that worn by H. Majesty's Cavelry.
