(1) Paitions from Mr. Weston and the two police officers concerned in the Midnapore civil suits praying for a reconsideration of the orders of the Government of India witholding their promotion till the appeals in the civil suits have beer decided. (2) Representations from the Indian Civil Service Association and the Govt. of Bengal requesting a reconsideration of the orders directing that all proposals regarding the promotion or conformation of honours on officers should be held in obeyance in cases. Where enquiries or providings as regards the conduct of such officers are under contemplation or have been instituted until such enquiries or proceedings have been completed.
