With reference to Military Department No 519 of the 16th Instant and its enclosure states for information that no orders have yet been issued to the commissriat regarding arrangements to be made for supplies for the troops whilst in the field during the ensuring cold season nor as the Brigadier intimates can any orders be issued until some plen of operations has been decided on with reference to the difficulty of procuring carriage suited for moving with troops.
