Orders from the Ministry of Finance concerning salaries, raises, and other benefits for workers whose appointments or promotions are deemed to be incorrect: Choice: As soon as it becomes apparent that a railway employees appointment or promotion was made in error:(i) The appointment/promotion orders should be revoked, and he should be demoted to the position he would have held had the incorrect appointment/promotion been made. (ii) With the Boards agreement, confirmation should be rescined with reference to permanent railway employees. (iii) Service provided after an incorrect appointment or promotion will not be considered for any purpose, and any further appointments or promotions will be revoked. (iv) In situations where the Railway Board or the President is the appointing authority, the Presidents decision is final. (v) Appropriate disciplinary measures should be implemented against the officers and employees accountable for these incorrect promotions and appointments
