With reference to a lr. of the 15th ultimo states that it does not appear to be any regulations fixing the periods at which the staff allowance of Expeditoary officers are to commence and terminate the gover.genl. is disposed to think the receipt of such allowances should cease with the performancee of the duties for which they are granted & under this view of the subject his Lordships would not consider Lieut.Col.Wilson entitled to staff salary after the 1st of septr.
