Question of giving a general assurance to officers of the Indian Police that those who are fit for promotion to the Selection grade of Distt. Superintendent of Police but are not promoted to that grade after 26 years service will be permitted to earn the additional pension which they would have earned had not promotion conditions prevented them from doing so.
