Proposal to increase the rates of pay of military assistant surgeons in independent medical charge of civil stations, negatived. Ruling that senior military assistant surgeons with the honorary rank of Major (or Captain) and Lieutenant officiating as civil surgeons should receive a special acting allowance of Rs. 50 and Rs. 100, a month, in addition to their substantive pay of Rs. 450, and Rs. 350, respectively.
