From Board - Relative to the marine Pay Master having continued to pass to the Master Attendant one per Cent Commission on the Collection of the Pilotage Bills - Have reason to believe that it has been drawn regularly up to the present period, being deducted by the Marine Pay Master & by him divided with the Master Attendant as regard the latter Officer, hold that there can be no question that the Commission ought to have ceased, and have called upon the Marine Accountant to report the amount received by Captain Jameson since his arrival in order to its being refunded - are of opinion that the Commission to the Marine Pay Master should also cease. - Request Authority to continue to the Deputy Master Attendant and to the 1st & 2 Assistants Batta Allowance on occasions of their giving down the River.
