From Governor - Transmits copy of a special Council held at Singapore with a view of haivng administered to himself and Mr. Bonham the usual Oaths as Governor & Councillor, a necessary preliminary to the taking of those of Judges of the Court - does not intend to hold a Council except on occasions where it becomes necessary under the Charter that the order should issue from the Board - in the absence of a Recorder suggests the expediency of nominating a successor to himself in case of his death. Submits the anamoly of a Governor & Chief Judge receiving a less Salary than the Recorder of the same Court and that his Salary be increased to the same as the Recorder.
