Read a Despatch from the Honble Court of Despatch No. 23 of 1857 dated 8th April in the Judicial Department wherein they reply to Bengal Narrative No. 58 of 1857 & express concurrence in the opinion of the Lieut. Governor as to the necessity for the removal of Doctor thony from the extensive & important Misical charge of the 24th Perghs & the alipore Jail but state that until his returement from the service he will retain his position as assistant surgeon on the Military Establishment & be available for any less important charge for which he may be considered to be competent.
