To Dr. A. Sprengor - States in reply to the enquiry made in the last para of the foregoing that he wasinvited to give further explanaton of the transaction animadverted upon by the Court of Directors in the foregoing Des. because the memorial of Mr. Boutros which is the foundation of that Des. had not been previonely seen by him and because the Court had expressly desired that he should again have an opportunity of explaining his share of the transaction and of shewing if possible that his conduct in connexion with it had not been inconsistent with that high principle and honor which the Court hold tobe esseutially necessary in all those subousted with high function in connecion with public Education adds that payment of Mr. Boutros claim would not in itself and above have this effect and requests he will submit any fruther explanation be may have to offer.
