A.I.R.F.: Demand (1) Application of the provision of the Factories Act, 1948 to staff employed in Loco Sheds, C & W Depots, Engineering Workshops, Signal Workshops, Car Sheds, T.L. Sheds etc. and (2) those staff working in these sheds who are working 12 hours should have their working hours restricted to 8 hours and they be paid overtime in excess of 8 hours limit- P.N.M. Meeting, March, 1968. Minutes: The board informed the Federation that Railways had been addressed to advise the financial implications etc. of bringing different categories of staff of loco sheds/running sheds under Factories Act and that if would take some time before a decision could be taken in the matter. Further action was being taken on File No. E(LWA)AT-FAC/1-1
