Staff Council: The NFIR has recommended that local staff councils be eliminated. Staff Councils and Committees 1. The staff council's abolishal was discussed but ultimately decided upon. 2. In accordance with the decision of the Cabinet Committee, the Rlys were given secret instructions to establish staff councils in as many locations as necessary and to make them operational entities. 3. The NFIR once more encouraged the Government Board to reconsider the initial decision to eliminate staff councils, stating that at this point, they were unable to stop it. But if the Federation could submit a thorough memo, it could be reviewed. It was also mentioned that the case is being made to ensure that staff councils did not unduly invade trade union territory.
