At Hill Stations, houses are empty. Cabinet's recommendation that a large number of idle and likely decaying ig houses in hill stations may be effectively converted into Children's Vacation Homes was implemented. The Railways requested that the potential of establishing vacation homes for employees be investigated in several large mansions in hill stations that are vacant because of a shortage of patrenage. Additionally, the decision was made that a railway may maintain a holiday home for its employees in an area outside of its authority, provided that the holiday home is managed by the railway serving the area
