Secretary Asiatic Society - With reference to letter of the 11th Instant to the President of the Society states that the Geological collectors etc deposited by Government in the societys rooms will be handed over to Mr. Oldhan and as the societys engagement with Mr. Piddengton will terminate on these Collections being with drawn from their superintendence it will remain with Government to make such fresh arrangements with him as it may drem fit. Will communicate further hereafter regarding the proposal that the society should allow its own collections tobe deposited in the new Mussum.
