From Chief Secretary - Forwards copy of an address presented to the Governor by the Committee of the Friend in # Society with at Presidency together with a report of the Institution for 1858 & a Minute recorded by His Excellency on the subject, and in explaining that the Society has contracted a Debt of Rs. 2,500 for the monthly expenditure being Rs. 400 in excess of the increase in the number of expense of panpers without a corresponding angmentation in # solicits that a grant of Rs. 300 a month commencing from the present month be made towards the support of the Institution, which the not covering the existing # deficit nor providing for the # of the debt, would impose a moral obligation upon the community to do the remainder & would be honorably met.
