From Secretary Asiatic Society - With reference to letter dated 8th December 1858 reports that a considerable on they will altimately be required in order to Establish an Imperial Museum in the Metropoles on a scale befitting the requirements of Science but if an additional sum of Rs. 200 per month to that already granted, were allowed it would enable the Society to maintain their existing collectors in satisfactory order till the Public Museum could be established and would# the valuable collections from the risk of deteriaration to which attents was drawn in a provious letter.
